  1. Unlike purchases made in physical stores, when purchasing from our online store, the Consumer (understood as one who does not intend the item for professional activity) has the right to a cooling-off period of 14 (fourteen) consecutive days from the day of delivery of the item. During this period, they may return the goods without having to justify why.
  2. If the consumer wishes to return the purchased item, they must do so in such a way that it reaches INDIMCO’s facilities within 14 days from the day it was received.
  3. In this case of free termination of the contract, postage or carrier expenses for returning the item are borne by the Consumer. (DL 24/2014, art. 13, no. 2).
  4. For the return of items to be accepted, the buyer/consumer must strictly comply with the following conditions:
    a) The item must be intact and without any marks, damage, or signs of use.
    b) The item must be returned together with its packaging, manuals, and accessories in immaculate condition.
    c) The item must be accompanied by a copy of the respective invoice or invoice/receipt.
  5. In case of non-compliance with any of these requirements, returns will NOT be accepted and, consequently, there will be no refund of the amount paid.
  6. There are also items that, due to their nature (special manufacturing, manufacturer recommendations, etc.), cannot be accepted for returns:
    a) Special tools (which require written approval and data for their manufacture, such as: diameter, cutting height, bore diameter or finishes, number of cutting edges, cutting edge composition, technical drawing or dimensioned sketch, material to be worked, working method, direction of rotation, and machine information).
    b) Tools such as cutters, blade holders, drills, machines, blades, or polycrystalline diamond tools that have broken brand packaging seals.
    c) Goods produced according to the consumer’s specifications, i.e., items that, not being pre-manufactured, are produced based on an individual choice or decision by the consumer.
  7. In case of return of items within the 14-day cooling-off period, the consumer may:
    a) opt for a refund of the amount, which will be made by bank transfer to the IBAN provided to us at the time of the return request.
    b) INDIMCO will proceed with the refund immediately after receiving the item, conducting a technical inspection of its condition, and verifying compliance with the return conditions described above.

Section XI – How to Initiate the Return/Exchange Process During the Cooling-Off Period

  2. Once compliance with the above-mentioned conditions is verified, the price will be refunded, the item exchanged, or a credit note issued.

Section XII – Legal Warranties

  1. All tools and equipment available for sale are manufactured by certified companies. INDIMCO is merely a distributor.
  2. All products sold by INDIMCO benefit from a legal warranty, defined under Portuguese law:
    a) If the purchaser of the product is an End Consumer, i.e., a natural person to whom goods intended for non-professional use are supplied, the warranty is 2 (two) years from the date of delivery of the item. (art. 5, DL no. 67/2003).
    b) If the purchaser of the product is a Professional User, i.e., a legal entity or natural person to whom goods intended for professional use (industrial, services, commerce, etc.) are supplied, the warranty is 6 (six) months after delivery of the item. (art. 921, no. 2, Civil Code).
    c) If the purchaser of the product is a Public Administration Body, and regardless of the destination of the purchased item, the warranty is 2 (two) years and begins after the date of signing the provisional acceptance certificate (defects relating to equipment assigned to the work but separable from it) (arts. 2, 3, 7 to 10, and 397, no. 2, letter c), Public Contracts Code).
  3. If the producer or manufacturer of the product, for commercial reasons, grants a voluntary warranty superior to those mentioned in no. 2, the buyer will benefit from this more favorable warranty.
  4. If the goods sold benefit solely from the legal warranty, the receipt or invoice/receipt serves as the document to activate the warranty.
When the warranty given by the manufacturer is superior to the legal warranty, a document, “Warranty”, is delivered to the purchaser with its duration and conditions.
  5. During the warranty period, the buyer may activate it if they find that the product suffers from manufacturing defects or malfunctions have arisen, within 2 (two) months from the day they detected the problem.
  6. During the repair period, the warranty period is suspended.
  7. In case of replacement of the item with another, the new item benefits from a warranty of 2 years or 6 months depending on whether the sale is to someone who will not apply the item in the development of their professional activity or will use it for that purpose, as per no. 2.
  8. If only a certain part is replaced, it benefits from a warranty of 2 years or 6 months under the terms already mentioned.
  9. In the case of discontinued products:
    a) any exchange may be made for a product equivalent to or superior to the one that was on the market at the time of purchase. This exchange is exclusively the responsibility of the supplier/manufacturer.
    b) A credit note may also be issued for the Customer to purchase an item from our store identical to the damaged one or with other characteristics.
    c) If the Customer purchases an item of higher value, they must naturally pay the difference between the value of the credit note and the value of the new item.
  10. The following tools and equipment are excluded from the warranty:
    a) Those that have exceeded the legal warranty period or the more favorable voluntary warranty granted by the producer/manufacturer.
    b) Those that show malfunctions or problems resulting from poor installation, weather, electrical discharges, and accidents.
    c) Those that show abnormal wear.
    d) Those that show signs of mishandling.
    e) Those that show signs of moisture and/or liquids.
    f) Those that reveal the use of non-original accessories.
    g) Those that reveal technical interventions by unauthorized and/or unqualified personnel.
